March 2021 Ashford Place Choir spring singalong:

Helen Tierney, director of the Ashford Place Choir, invited us along to their end-of-term spring singalong on Zoom – 40 minutes of spring songs and poetry.
Several members of Brent U3A actually belong to the Ashford Place Choir, which normally meets at Ashford Place in Cricklewood but is meeting instead on Zoom because of Covid-19.
Several members joined a very relaxed session, with breathing and stretches to prepare us for singing and then singalong to well-known songs. Helen accompanied us on the piano and accordion and even laid on song sheets, so we could all join in. The songs were a delightful mix – Tulips from Amsterdam, Secret Love, Lara’s Theme, the Happy Wanderer and many more.
Many thanks, Helen and the Ashford Place Choir, for an excellent morning of music.
If you’re interested in joining the Ashford Place Choir: please email Brent u3a (brentu3a@outlook.com) and we’ll pass your request on to Helen.
